Miles away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of New York was a budding southern gem tucked away along Florida's First Coast by the name of Jacksonville, Florida.
In 1976, this city became the home of Renna's Pizza which was founded by two brothers originally from the shores of Bari, Italy who immigrated much like their ancestors to Brooklyn, New York. They selected a small local mall off of Phillips Highway (now an indoor sports complex) in Jacksonville to begin a tradition of fine Italian cuisine that continues today.
In 1976, Giuseppe (Joe) Renna and his brother founded Renna's Pizza. They had been looking quite some time for a location to start their business and decided on the warm climate, and beaches. Renna's soon became a perennial favorite among the Jacksonville community. In 1985, Joe decided to expand the business and selected an up and coming neighborhood on the Westside of Jacksonville call Argyle Forest. Today, this location serves as the flagship store, having served Jacksonville for over twenty years.
In 1990, Joe decided to build another location, this time on the Southside of Jacksonville in another growing part of town, Mandarin.
In 2005, their daughter and son-in-law also joined the family business, opening Renna's in the St. John's Town Center near the beaches.
As the family business continues to grow, Renna's Pizza is at it again, opening our 4th location in Jax Beach! The newest addition offers the same fresh ingredients and New York flavors that our customers have come to know and love. Continuing the family tradition, Joe's son-in-law, Mike Snober, runs and operates the beach location to ensure the quality and integrity of our product never disappoint! Located on South Beach Parkway outside of Marsh Landing, stop by and welcome Renna's Pizza to the beach!
